🔒 Motorcraft- High-Performance FC935 Fuel Cap for Enhanced Engine Efficiency Review

Repeatedly (now constantly) generates "Check fuel cap" message on dash display on my 2004 F150 SuperCrew when it "supposes" it is the correct cap. It fits and snaps securely, but the message is continuous and somewhat distracting. As another reviewer mentioned, the notification didn't initially appear until after the lid had been in use for about a month. The non-locking OEM lid had no such problems.

Installed, Driven, Check Engine Light came on along with Large Leak Detect Code. Before, I lived with a small vaporizer leak detection code. Reset code, put lid back on, same thing. many times. I then bought a cheap generic Napa cap, reset the code and the check engine light was back on but a little vaporizer detection like my original cap. I received this gas cap 2 days after ordering. It arrived well packaged and is just what I needed to protect the fuel in my 2002 F350. There's always a chance someone might want to put something in or take something out of the tank and this cap makes that much less likely. This is a Motorcraft OEM product and is well made. It's a screw in the cap, not an 1/8 turn. The connection of the trapeze was a bit different than my old hat, so I just took the trapeze off the old hat and put it on the new…
