2002 Ford Explorer V6

Replacement for 2002 4.0 V6 Explorer. I recommend the extension cord and bobble head. When replacing the passenger side, remove the air intake for easy access, the driver's side is easy enough without having to move anything.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Really don't like it, everything is ok

Lasted 4 years for me

Changed after 4 years. We've probably driven the Explorer about 80,000 miles and it idles a bit rough. The forks still looked good, could have lasted a little longer, but definitely got their money's worth.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Excellent fork. You just need to check and adjust the spacing.

Good replacement fork. Just make sure to check your gap and gap according to the car. Most likely this will not be the right distance as it is around 0.045. Be sure to use pliers to bend the ground electrode and probes to ensure proper spacing. Using a cheap wedge action splitting tool at the parts store can damage the center electrode as it is a thin platinum wire.

Pros
  • Nice

  • Some cons

2000 Ford Ranger XLT 3.0 Flex Fuel 2wd Auto

My first spark plug change at 93,000 miles. The manual says to wait until 100k, but I've owned this truck since it was first released in 2000 and wanted to start servicing early. more! I haven't changed cables. Increased from 13.5mpg to 15.2mpg on the first tank in the awful stop and drive I do with the AC blast.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • I don't remember, but something was

Replaced spark plug cables and upstream oxygen sensors before the trip to Yukon and Alaska. Driven 17,000 km (10,000 miles) in a 2000 Ford Explorer at 200,000 miles per month and averaging 11.5 l/100 km (25 mpg). I've laid one cable after the other over time. Replaced wheel well plugs with tires removed for better access. The pullers came in handy. The increased power and increased mileage paid off for the parts.

Pros
  • nice touch
Cons
  • piggy bank price

Real motor boat. Platinum is the way!

These are genuine Motorcraft Platinum circuit boards. They work great in my 2005 4.0L V6 Explorer. Some motors require the SP-400 and I believe the SP-500 connector is the same just platinum. My old spark plugs were worn out and had a very large gap, so installing them caused me a lot of power loss and eliminated the rough idle. Use anti-seize and dielectric grease for smooth operation. You must install them yourself before the specified interval. Be very careful when splitting platinum…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Only available in black
