It only took a year to burn out, seems factory installed

Only lasted a year before blowing like a factory install. I found that the switch did not turn off. This is a connection. Contacts bent and works perfectly

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Save yourself a few hundred dollars! (Dealer Repair)

The fan issue on my 2009 Fi50 Lariat was resolved in 10 minutes. All you need is an 8mm socket to unscrew the 2 screws holding the old controller in place and install the new one! The control unit is located on the fan housing behind the glove compartment.

Pros
  • Sleek Design
Cons
  • Lots of Stuff

Worked perfectly, great price!

I wasn't 100% sure it was a problem with my 2013 Expedition with dual AC. The dealer charges $89 just to diagnose the problem. I decided to take a chance and this part solved my problem. Now my air conditioner is buzzing again! The same motorcycle part was $99 in the parts department of a local Ford dealer. That makes it very valuable. The part I received looked exactly like the one I took from my 2013 limited edition expedition. The repair took about 20 minutes.

2011 Ford F150 Lariat - Don't Make the Mistake I Made

The previous review on how to avoid O'Reilly's BWD version was correct. I tried two on a 2011 F150 Lariat with automatic climate control. The first worked at speed 1-4 and cut off at 5-7. The second one I tried ran at speed 1-5 and stopped at 6-7. The Motocraft part worked as expected and all speeds were back. I lost an entire Sunday afternoon troubleshooting after trying O'Reilly's aftermarket part. I thought I might have a lost ground or some other electrical issue until I came across one of…

This is the simplest solution you can get.

The photo shows the original part in black. This ordered item is white. My 2010 F-150 KR with automatic air conditioning got stuck at either top speed or no top speed. A few YouTube videos and a Google search brought me here. There are a few part numbers where it's not clear what the major differences are. I'm guessing the horsepower to fan size ratio, which means the Mustang probably has a less powerful HVAC fan than the F-150, which requires a less powerful part. However, order this part…

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Reliability

Must OEM part for 2008 Ford Expedition EL

To be honest I've replaced this part on my Expedition maybe 5 times in the car's 215,000 mile life. I don't know why this part always burns out, but you know you need it when the climate control stops working and gets stuck on "Auto" with no fan - most likely it's not the fan, it's this one. I've used fake parts and bought cheap a few times to test an OEM part - a cheap part never lasts as long as Motorcraft, just my experience. Replaced both fronts with this part and ended up having to replace

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Good but not great

2013 Ford F-150 - Runaway Fan Motor Repaired

Problem - when my wife's truck is running, the fan motor always runs and the RPM is never the same. One minute low, another minute fast. Thus, air is always blowing into the truck's cabin and you cannot change the speed. The display says that fan speed can be controlled by pressing the + or - buttons, but nothing changes. I went to AutoZone and looked for this part. It was made by Duralast and when I decided to put it in, the pins didn't quite match. I had to bend/press the pins a bit because…
