I had to hit it with a hammer to get it right. The holes didn't match. It's a good deterrent, but you can tell it's pretty cheaply made. In general, it's okay if a tramp doesn't happen to walk by and just grab your stuff.

This mount basically does what it's designed to do, it's strong enough and easy to install and use, but what intrigues me is how subtly this accessory fuses with the bike. If you don't need it; like he doesn't exist!

Very easy to fit, just remove the passenger footpeg bracket on the left hand side, place the helmet lock behind it and refit the two screws. Finished. It works great and definitely helps when you don't want to carry your helmet everywhere.

Great helmet lock for 2018 Yamaha R3. Took about 5 minutes to install, looks neat on the bike. It also works well for keeping your helmet low and more invisible than a seat lock, and is much safer and more secure than just leaving it hanging from the handlebars.

, I recently got a new bike and it was much more difficult to fix the helmet under the seat. I bought it to make it easier for me to attach my helmet to my bike. That's all it's for. I wouldn't use this on an expensive helmet or if I live in an area with a high theft rate. The lock itself is very finicky, and if someone really wants to, they can pull your helmet right off the bike with enough force. But if you need convenience, then this will work. Buy for that, not for the safety.

Installation was easy. I like that the screw that attaches the lock to the bracket is protected by a latch when closed. However, the locking mechanism seems a little flimsy, so I'm not sure how well it will hold up if someone actually pulls on it. If you wanted to (and had a reasonably sized Allen wrench with you), you could easily remove the strut completely. For the price, however, this offers much better protection against low-level attacks than leaving the helmet unprotected. want.
