Trouble setting up phones and accessories

Due to the fact that this product needs to be connected via an ethernet cable AND a phone jack, I can't imagine that many people will find it useful. At least not people who use a cable provider for their Internet. Our setup, and I assume most people do, is that we have a coax cable in our living room that connects to our cable modem, which then connects to our router with an ethernet cable. Good enough, because the cordless phone and Alexa features are fun!

I like that the phone comes with Alexa support, but it requires a smartphone so you can add your new cordless phone to the list of Alexa powered devices. This saves time manually entering contacts on each phone as all are transferred from the smartphone's contact list. It takes a while to get used to accessing all of the phone's features as after selecting an option you have to use the left button instead. round button in the middle. Convenient - love it

In summary - this device is every bit as good as a regular cordless phone with the convenience of Alexa built in. The phone took a few extra steps to set it up, activate it, and get a list of contacts. Telephone, and note that the Remote Base Station Module must always be plugged into a Category 5 network port, a standard telephone wall jack, and an electrical outlet for Alexa to work.
