I have an adjustable desk lamp arm and a microphone arm with cheap plastic clips. It was inevitable that they would break. It was predictable that I would try to fix them with epoxy. , grip tighter and stay in place with the handle on the clip. That's exactly what I wanted.

They're also aesthetic so they can be used for a variety of desktop applications, which is what I use them for (monitor articulating arm clamp). Also, I had to specify the full opening and I was glad the rating wasn't exaggerated, it even opened maybe 1/8 inch more.

I bought this clamp because the standard clamps that came with my boom and table mic (LEPOWER metal table lamp, adjustable gooseneck) were not as strong as I would have liked . The build quality of this clip is solid compared to the standard clips I've received with other items.
