Very comfortable: for women

These are padded mittens. Outer material 100% nylon (Goretex), with leather palms. Polyester upper lining and nylon lower lining. Insulation 800 fill, 90% goose down and 10% goose feathers. There are no finger separators in the mittens. I tried these medium sized mittens. The overall length is 16 inches, with 7 inches over the wrists. The mittens have nylon hand loops, an elastic drawstring at the top of the gloves, pull tabs on the edges of the gloves, clips and an elastic band for security…

Excellent quality, the most comfortable mittens I have.

These well made and very comfortable mittens. They are made of soft leather and 800 down. The inside of the gloves is spacious and has a soft fleece lining that makes them very warm. The stitching is well made and seems to last a long time. They have a cord in the wrist area that tightens them to prevent snow or other objects from getting in. They are lighter than I expected. They fit my large hands well, but they also fit my wife's small hands so they seem more versatile.

Well-made clothing, shoes and jewelry

Can't wait to use them. They fit well and are almost too big. I usually wear very large ones and these are large but they will do. In fact, I like having a small space that all my fingers can fit in. Thanks to GORE-TEX, they are waterproof and thanks to the materials used, I can also use them in sub-zero temperatures, which happens almost every year. They don't call gloves Absolute Zero and then say they're good for three seasons. But the specs look promising and I'm sure they will come in…

Giant Warm Mittens - Perfect for Polar Vortex

I think these giant mittens are perfect for Polar Vortex. These mittens are soft yet durable. They go great with my thick winter coat. The gloves reach far into my hands and lace up to keep the cold out. These gloves are great for hiking or shoveling on the coldest winter days. I don't think I'll want to ride in these gloves and they won't work for my dogs but if I have to go outside on the coldest days these will be my gloves.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Vulgarity

This is the real deal! Serious mittens for cold weather!

These are expensive mittens, but fortunately the quality and performance justify the high price. Pittard's Armortan leather is of the highest quality and is very soft to the touch. The inner lining is made of very thick wool fleece, very soft and warm. The 800-fill down insulation is as good as it gets, keeping your hands warm in very cold weather. The size chart seems correct. My hands are measured as average based on the Mountain Hardware sizing chart so I went for the M and they fit great, a

Wonderfully Warm Best Accessory

These Gore-Tex Down Mittens from Mountain Hardwear Absolute Zero are a great option if you're looking for a very high quality, warm mitten. They come with a cardboard tag with a plastic hanger attached, the kind of packaging you'll find on gloves hanging in a retail store. Also included are some cards/documents that talk about some of the features of the mittens. These mittens have a down filling on the back which is fluffy and warm. The top of the fingers and the palms of the hands are covered

If you want to stay warm and dry, you won't find better mittens.

Incredible mittens. They have: 1) pit skin. Pittards goes on and on. I have Pittard gloves that are many years old and still work great. Pittards makes its own gloves, but they are also used in a variety of gloves from other manufacturers where supple, thin, durable, abrasion-resistant leather is needed. So for example I have Pearl Izumi cycling gloves with Pittards leather and gardening gloves and now these mittens. Simply wash in water with conditioning soap. 2) Gore-Tex lining. I got my…

Like -10°F (maybe lower?) Arm down sleeping bags

Summary: Very warm, light weight, slightly oversized Although not for their intended purpose (mountain climbing) I got these mainly for skiing is very cold (<10°F) and my gloves don't cut. The back panel is a thin, lightweight nylon webbing that's reasonably durable, but if your skiing or snowboarding style often involves things like ankle dragging, deflecting branches, or slapping snow/ice, this probably isn't for you. If you're just swimming in powder nirvana and/or don't have the backs of

A little big. but great mitten

Mountain Hardwear Absolute Zero Gore-Tex down glove Bought to use when skiing in winter. This is because the holes are so small. These mittens are larger than I expected. I'm medium size and they almost reach my elbow. ;-) very warm and comfortable. a little loose. I can clench my fist. They come off much easier than my gloves and can be air dried. The color pattern looks pretty cool too. I would recommend this mitten but would recommend going down a size when ordering.
