Solution for Christmas lights in a concrete house

I wanted to install Christmas lights outside in our house. There is no wood and I didn't want to drill into the concrete walls. They easily go through the plaster and stick to the block. I took one off and it left very few traces of nails. They're stronger than they look and did a great job holding up the Christmas lights.

Perfect Concrete Block Wall Hook

Perfect Concrete Block Wall Hook! Gently and lightly tap the nails into the cinder block until the end of the nail is flush with the white plastic top of the hook. This creates a super strong and reliable hook to hang anything you want. Nothing else helped except heavy drills and huge concrete nails that left very large holes in the walls. They leave almost no trace.

Not easy, but it works

This is the only thing I could find for hanging items on a brick. Unfortunately, I'm not very good with a hammer, and it takes a lot more than a hammer that doesn't have much room to hold on to while I bang the hammer. Ouch. Also, my bricks are used in Chicago and crumble easily. In the end, I attached the hanger to the brick with Gorilla glue, let it dry, and then drove the hanger pins into the brick. So far, so good.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

This is absolute crap. Don't waste money.

In our apartment there is a concrete wall in one room, it's just an empty space that we wanted to "fill". Every place I've looked I've been told that to hang something on a concrete wall you need a drill with a masonry bit to install the anchor because the wall is obviously just beyond your attempts at hammer and nail would laugh. So it was a pleasant surprise (at first) when I came across these hard wall hangers that specifically claimed to offer a simpler solution. Bought immediately. I…

That is amazing! Used on concrete deck walls

They are amazing. I hung a painting, a thermometer, and a window drawing on this concrete wall on my porch. Total project time (including measurement) 15 min. I am a 66 year old female and they entered me easily. WHY IT MAY NOT WORK FOR YOU @Chris McDowell - You said you tried using them on a cinder block interior wall. Because of the battens, is there a layer of drywall and maybe a small gap (3/4-1 inch) between the drywall and the cinder block? If so, that might be why they didn't work for…
