That is amazing! Used on concrete deck walls

They are amazing. I hung a painting, a thermometer, and a window drawing on this concrete wall on my porch. Total project time (including measurement) 15 min. I am a 66 year old female and they entered me easily. WHY IT MAY NOT WORK FOR YOU @Chris McDowell - You said you tried using them on a cinder block interior wall. Because of the battens, is there a layer of drywall and maybe a small gap (3/4-1 inch) between the drywall and the cinder block? If so, that might be why they didn't work for you. The nails in this hanger are so tiny that they can't penetrate the drywall, room/paneling to bite the cinder block. POSSIBLE SOLUTION. Consider each thickness and choose a metal or wood formwork strip. Strips of sheathing / spacing 3/4" drywall probably 1/2" plus 1/4" if you hit the sides or ends of the cinder block. By trial and error you will determine your overall thickness. If this is a small painting and you come across a strip of sheathing you can use regular picture hangers nailed down with rope slanted downwards Something heavy - I would use a toggle switch quicker (need to drill a hole) - know all the thicknesses and know where the toggle switch opens .Make sure it opens into the cavity of the cinder block, to ensure a tight fit. I have been in the real estate and renovation industry for 28 years. I learned a lot of my building information there. Chris, I hope this works for you and I hope it can help others.
