After running out of the original vacuum bags I decided to give these a try. Following the manufacturer's instructions, this was fairly easy. I'm glad I bought it then. Now we can save meat so as not to burn ourselves in the freezer.

I have a Food Saver vacuum sealer from the mid 80's and these bags work great with it. They're a bit thinner than OEM bags, but they seal the steak well and keep it from freezer burn for weeks without issue.

Of course I just used it and the return window is closed. I'm more than dissatisfied. They are defective and do not hold tight. I spent 3 hours vacuuming dry goods for long term storage and within an hour 1/4 the bag was filled with air and by morning 1/2 of what I had vacuumed needs to be redone.

I had so many problems sealing these bags to make the vacuum work. I had to throw away more than a few bags because they were unsealed. My car struggled a lot with these bags. Under the seal are just these rather flimsy packets, melted instead of sealed, requiring double the work and slowing progress significantly. Even after many attempts to seal the bag, cut off melted bits, re-suck, cut, repeat, repeat, there was more wasted material than saving money by buying this instead of bags.
