Took about 20 minutes. operations.

This coil failed after only 20 minutes of driving. I've checked all my cables and connectors to make sure the problem isn't mine, but it's not. I also used the specified MSD resistor. It seemed that it overheated and the bottom of the block burst. The manufacturing date of the explosive device is January 19th. The replacement block is 7/19 so I'll see if the issue is resolved. If the second one doesn't work, I'll just have to go back to the regular Blaster 2.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • weak

Has the best spark performance of 1

This 0.8 ohm coil produces the same spark as the Bosch 3.8 ohm blue coil. Adding a resistor gives fewer sparks. I've had the best spark performance from a 1.8 ohm coil. The extra high end was narrowed so the coil wire popped out. Bad design. This thing caused my system to draw 9 amps and parts to overheat. I can't go back. Expensive paper weight. It is not recommended to use a non-msd ignition system or on-road vehicle.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Not sure

For use with horizontally mounted coils - works great

Its reliable MSD - note if you have a vehicle that uses a horizontally mounted coil this is the only option you can use. The MSD Blaster 2 is designed for vertical mounting only as stated in the fine print, I burned the Blaster 2 horizontally because the internal oil does not coat the top of the windings and keeps them cool. This product solves this problem with a sealed coil that can be installed in any position and is the only MSD coil designed for a horizontal position.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Safety

Killer spark and mounts on the side.

I mounted my MSD 8222 coil horizontally to use the mounting posts from my original Magneti Marelli coil on the inner fender wall of my Maserati. I received a chrome plated spool mount, PN 8213, as the spool does not include the mount. The spark from this coil is quite impressive when paired with the MSD 6530 ignition. Always set your spark plugs to the correct gap and only calibrate the gap in 0.005 inch increments until you find the perfect performance for your ride. A big spark isn't always…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some small things

READ THIS REVIEW fits coil packs

This is the second Blaster vibrating coil I have purchased from Revain. BOTH failed in under 3 hours leaving me and my family at the lake. THESE COILS ARE NOT AUTHENTIC. If you buy these coils for what they were designed for, they will fail. Both of my coils overheated, expanded at the base and snapped. Contact the manufacturer and they will tell you they DO NOT sell Revain. I kept my original 10 year old blaster coil and kept it for emergencies on the boat and every time I had to change it on…

Pros
