Look out for housewares

Like any paper towel, it's great for cleaning up spills. It can also be used as a towel, although we usually use cotton. They last a lot longer than regular paper towels and appear to be more absorbent. I gave them a 4 star rating as we've only been using them for a week or so and have yet to see how long they will last. John J Hogan

Many uses for paper towels

For those who live in the countryside, this is a good choice. I'm aware of the environmental issues, but I'm more of a lazy consumer. Use a paper towel and then just throw it away. Who really wants to wash "paper" towels? Now that you are aware of my skeptical view, here is my review. First, they are strong enough, will not tear or fall apart. I then washed them in the sink after use and they came out clean but not new. I wash my granite countertops several times a day and use one of these…

good alternative to paper towels

later We're trying to be a little greener and things like that really help. These towels are durable and can be used for many things. I used them to wipe down my counters, wipe up the spilled cranberry juice, then tossed it in the wash and it worked well. I also put a few in each bathroom to clean up in place of paper towels. Rinse after use, wring out and hang over the sink or over the faucet. I'm not sure how long they will last, but I've used some quite a bit and they show no signs of wear…

The advertising is misleading - they are intended as an alternative to PAPER TOWELS. NO "cloth " alternatives to towels

This advert is misleading. as it *not* a particularly good substitute for "cloth" towels/rags which can be machine washed and tumble dried many, many, many times. You can't do it with these. They are designed to replace PAPER towels (is that what I "think"(?) the seller meant? Anyway. NOT suitable to replace cloth.
