Device died after 1 week

My device died after 1 week, sticky residue came out from the back of the CPU socket, suddenly stopped working. This is the second time this has happened to me with an msi product.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Can be damaged

Great functionality despite limitations

Everything works great if you only use Windows 10 or a few specific Linux distributions. I couldn't install Windows 8 with ethernet capabilities because most of the installed websites didn't have drivers. Most of them are listed as if they would work, but I haven't been able to set this board up for anything other than Windows 10. Most obscure Linuxes also couldn't access the internet. MSI needs to be more open to anything users want to add.

Pros
  • Works great for me
Cons
  • Bad experience

0/2 for this board suitable for computers and accessories

UPDATE: Received replacement board today. This one was even worse. Not new, definitely used. There is no outlet cover, the outlet itself was hanging open. Miraculously, the pins didn't bend. Also, the last person didn't even detach from their case properly, the retaining screw was still attached to the circuit board! I hope the third time will be charm, but now 1 star. ORIGINAL POST: I had 2 working memory sticks that worked in other systems and using one of each worked on this motherboard, but

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • No insurance

Pay attention to the headings

If you are having trouble powering up this board, the label on the board is misleading. It shows the pinout legend on the board above the header, which is not the actual header for the power button and LEDs. The correct heading is to the left of the unmarked heading. We've had issues with our boards not turning on and it took us a while to figure out why.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Nothing Here

Cheap and good MB for building hackingtosh

This is a tiny MB with all the features I need to build a hackingtosh that requires a 10th gen Intel processor. If you plan to use a wireless PCI card, you need to expand the onboard USB port to use the front USB at the same time. I'm using a wireless Fenvi T919+BT and it works great (great speed). It is configured with M.2 and SSD for dual boot with Win10.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous
