Product does not fit and does not look like the picture. Also, the package was fully opened in the envelope and part was free. As if someone had sent it back and put the crumbled part and packaging in an envelope separately and sold it to me.

About a year ago I had to replace the mower motor and the new motor output shaft was much shorter than the original one. Since my mower came with a shorter version of this adapter, I opted for a longer one. This is just what it takes to put the blade back in place.

This item is not described correctly in title or size. Also, my package was incomplete, the picture shows the kit comes with a screw, I didn't have one, and my old screw is not long enough to attach this missing identified part. I think it's crappy quality and I couldn't fit it, I had to nail it down and then when a new longer screw came out I got tired of using mine and didn't fit. I had to knock the adapter out of my stock so I could order another the right size.

My Troy-Bilt push mower parts list lists the correct adapter 748-0377C along with another adapter 748-04082. These are different shaft sizes. This one is too small but I didn't notice until I opened the package. Now I have no cost and I can't get it back. Please measure the shaft before ordering. This measures 22mm or just under the 7/8" shank use 748-04082.

My lawn mower has a crank size that is too big and won't fit, although the description doesn't say anything about crank size exceptions. I have a 2007 MTD Yard Man mower. Everything looks identical to this set. every part However, it turned out that there were two different shank sizes: 7/8" and 25mm. The listing says it FITS ALL. It doesn't. You should list that there are two shank sizes and this one is 7 /8th ". . It will NOT fit a 25mm shaft. Mine broke when I first ordered it, then the replacement (thanks Revain) broke too. I did a lot of reading and ordered a new blade before trying a replacement. It broke off right away. NO engine or shaft vibrations! Apparently the metal is just poor quality. Hundreds of small bubbles can be seen in the gap. NOT HARD! looks like it was factory installed or at least it fits my mower. I am happy with it and less afraid of my mowing blade detaching and flying over the yard while mowing. After replacing a blade on a lawnmower, I noticed that the bumps on the adapter were shearing off because the blade hit something hard. It was an original part so I wasn't surprised when it was replaced. Update: Less than a year later, this "original" part had a worn, deformed keyway and missing blade retaining nipples.
