🥧 Mud Pie Marble Holder with Collection Design Review

I have many pieces of Mudd Pie that I love but was disappointed with this one. I returned it. The center post was too small in circumference for the paper roll and wobbled. Didn't drag.

I love mud cakes and have lots of them. When the paper towel holder arrived the large glass handle was no longer attached to the top. It wasn't easy to fix because the piece was glass. With a bit of skill and patience I was able to glue the handle with no visible stains. I'm happy with the end result, I don't appreciate buying broken products.

I really wanted to like this as I love all the items with pie slime glass handles. It's a beautiful piece, heavy, durable and will likely last forever. I just couldn't get past the handle. It looks dark and gray and only spoils the whole effect. I think it's due to the color of the pole it's on, but it's not translucent or shiny like you might expect. I loved this paper towel holder. Now I have almost the entire collection and they fit perfectly in my kitchen. BUT like many other reviewers, the glass pen is different. It doesn't sit as high and isn't crystal clear, it's a more opaque hue. The base is very heavy and beautiful. The stem is questionable, covered in what appears to be spray paint that scratches easily. Luckily you don't see that when there's a role. Not up to mud cake standards, not happy with this production but fits in my collection so I decided to keep it. The glass handle is NOT screwed. He's upstairs. We have to be careful because it's in our RV. You have to lift it from the bottom, which is very difficult if you want to move it. Another issue we had was that the bottom tabs used for the legs don't bolt on very well. As if they were too small because they came loose and we actually lost one. I always read reviews - except this time. I would like to have. This does not match my other Mud Pie items. An ugly dark handle is attached to a dirty looking jet black pole. Whoever designed it to match the shiny Mud Pie CLEAR glass handles on their bronze bases was crazy!
