I needed a small food processor for chopping and this is perfect. I cook onions and other vegetables quickly. Nuts and other dried foods are even faster. Do I want frills? Of course, but they are three times more expensive and less convenient to clean. If you need a smaller device then this is for you.

After starting the return process I decided to play with the food processor and see if I missed something. Knowing that most things made in Germany are great, I couldn't understand why there shouldn't be a chopper. I re-read the instructions (it's a bit vague) and figured out how to set up the whisk and it works as intended. My initial rating was 2 stars but I upgraded it to 4 stars. It would have been five stars but the instructions were vague.

I was glad to get this device to speed up the cutting of vegetables. The first thing I tried to chop was an onion. I've tried positioning the adjustable guide as described in both settings and even removed it to see if it worked, but was frustrated each time. Even a quick 1 second event turned the onion into mush. I could never get him to deliver a reasonably sized piece. I've also tried green peppers and got the same results. It seems too powerful. Today I used it for the first time. It is very powerful and cuts onions well. During the process it is important to lift the engine over the container several times. Otherwise it will crush anything you try to hack. The instructions are not very detailed, but very simple. It's small so I made 1 onion in 3 passes. I called Muller and told him how bad this chopper was and how poorly designed it was. They immediately refunded my money, but I get to keep choppers! Simply put, it doesn't work as safely and accurately as the old-fashioned choppers with the engine underneath. This unit has a motor on top that must be lifted to turn off and stop the motor. I used to have two different brands of kitchen grinders and liked both so I appreciate the comparison. Love the bowl size, the power and the whisk idea which my other two choppers don't have.
