I bought a stylus from Walmart and it lasted a week. Yes, it's possible. Believe me. So I bought it and so far it works perfectly. And just in case one of them breaks, I still have loads of stuff to use. The price difference between Walmart and these is huge. I gave them as Christmas presents at work. Only 1 button out of 24 had an LED that didn't light up when pressed. It took me a while to figure out how to take the handle apart to see if it could be repaired. Batteries are well tested. It wasn't like that. Bought these as gifts for primary school. They don't write as smoothly as "gel" pens, and the pen's line isn't of high quality (you can see the plastic rubbing against the plastic). Also, the tip of the pen is good for swiping and tapping buttons, but you'll need a thinner tip to create drawings or details on a tablet. I was hoping to find a stylus and pen combo so I didn't have to carry a stylus AND a pen. This device fails in both cases. The rubber pen falls off after a short use and if there is a way to put it back I haven't found it. A pen is fine if you're writing on a piece of paper on a smooth surface, but it won't work with a notepad or writing implement that has indentations from previous pages. I love these handles. They are beautiful and so functional. I don't like my touchscreens without them anymore. A pen flashlight will often come in handy.
