Worked great for me

Works very well for the price paid and very easy to install. Our decision to use fiber between our buildings was mainly based on lightning protection considerations, now it is operational.

Reliable and stable connection.

Where others have failed, this one delivers! Fast and stable connection over long distances. The only thing missing are the mounting holes on the bottom of the device. I had to resort to strong magnets to mount this unit on the wall. The body color and markings are also the ugliest on the fiber optic converter market. I wish they made it in black or dark gray and the markings would look more professional. While the looks don't affect performance, it's the ugliest component in my network closet.

Works great for running 2000 feet of singlemode fiber

Purchased to replace a link that was getting low throughput (100Mbps) from a standard Cisco SFP+ module . It's now hitting a solid 1Gbps.

Warning, these are 1310nm devices so be sure to check your wavelengths - UPDATED

The interesting thing about fiber optics is that different suppliers choose different frequencies of light. Although the manual for these devices says they are 850nm compatible, they actually ONLY work at 1310nm. Be sure to check your transmit and receive wavelengths. whether the text on the website or in the manual is correct! Fast Plug & Play: Network Transceiver

Being new to fiber optics, I had concerns about working with fiber optic equipment. Luckily, this ended in a plug and play situation. I just plugged everything in and everything worked.

I bought the SC model and ST model. ST worked, SC didn't. Unfortunately I waited to try to use it after the Revain return period was over. I have contacted the manufacturer and they have asked me to provide them with information on this, but I still have a defective product.
