Description of Multitool Leatherman Bond 14 functions

Leatherman decided to pay homage to the first Pocket Survival Tool (PST) and released its lighter version of the Bond multitool with almost the same set of tools, but in a modern and minimalistic design with stainless steel handles. As with all models, the set includes pointed pliers, hard wire cutters and a wire stripper. The blade is just over 7 cm long and made of 420HC steel, it quickly and easily extends, it does not block in the open position. In addition to it, for cooking, openers for bottles and cans are provided. Also included in the kit: an awl, a file for wood and metal, three screwdrivers of various types and a 10 cm ruler, which makes this model a universal multi-tool for everyday tasks and more. If you compare this multitool with its PST progenitor, you will notice that some of the tools have been swapped: the Phillips screwdriver has been moved to the side where the blade is located, and both flat-sided screwdrivers are grouped together on the opposite side. Despite such an impressive number of tools, as many as 14 items, the manufacturer managed to pack them into 10 cm handles, only 14 mm thick and 3 cm wide. All tools open from the inside. The handles are ergonomically shaped for a comfortable grip. To meet the needs of the modern EDCer, the end of the Leatherman Bond handle features a ring for securely and securely attaching the tool to a lanyard, as well as a place to attach a pocket clip (sold separately). The price/quality ratio is great, I will buy again.

I definitely recommend! I added scissors instead of a large slotted screwdriver - this is a minus guarantee, but the functionality is increased

Pros
  • Compactness, weight, large volume of tools. Quality materials. There is wave and rebar. Great addition. Incredible reliability. Looks stylish
Cons
  • At first it was hard to walk. Lubricated. Everything is fine

It’s a good tool, I have a tti, it’s certainly more interesting, BUT you can’t carry charge tti with you, only in a car bag, and bond is so compact that you can carry it like an edc knife, but why did the manufacturer clamp the clip ? It’s just stupid like that. The tool is positioned for wearing in a pocket, but there is no such possibility out of the box, it is clear that it is marketing, but it seems to me that this will only set the consumer against the manufacturer.

Pros
  • Compact but not small, simple, not expensive
Cons
  • The clip was clamped into the kit, it may not withstand excessive loads.

A good quality product, I rate this purchase perfectly.

Some pros: Great medium tule for everyday wear/use. The set of tools is excellent, everything is lubricated and works perfectly, the knife and awl are sharp. Has some cons: As a disadvantage, I can only write down the box, which was slightly battered, and if I took it as a gift, it would be a disadvantage.
