Munchkin Quack Duck Bath Mat Review

Perfect! Much taller than I was originally which is perfect. It smelled like rubber but after washing it was gone. Now I feel comfortable when my baby is standing in the tub and not slipping.

Very cute design. The texture is not visible in the picture, but it is quite textured for a child. My little one used to cry in slippery bathrooms but she has enough confidence to stand in the bath with this mat. The only downside is that it has that smell - I've smelled it on new tires before and I really don't like it - like the smell of marijuana. But the design is really cute and the kid loves the design so I keep it to myself. I hope that the smell will go away with time and use.

The carpet is sooo cute! It almost covers my entire bathtub and my baby loves it! Only the suction power could be a little better, but to be honest I'm not complaining about it. What I really have to complain about, which seems to be a problem for many others as well, is the smell. I like this product, it's cute and functional, but MAN smells like nasty plastic. We've had it for about 4 months now, take a bath almost every night and it's only recently that I think the smell is gone. If I could go back I wouldn't have bought it knowing it would smell so strong, especially these days when we're conscious of the weird chemicals we're exposing our kids to with plastic and the like. Not slippery unless you are clean and cleaning the tub or carpet. Anyone who says mold exists is clearly a dirty person. No matter what type of bath mat you have, it needs cleaning folks 🙄 Depending on the nature of your tub, it may not stick to your tub. Smells like a perm! To be honest my husband thought something had happened to the plumbing which was causing gas to escape from the sewers! I've tried cleaning and airing it because it's adorable, but it smells so bad I couldn't bear to leave it to a living being.

I've had this for over a month now and it has really changed our bathing routine. I tried bathing a 2 year old and a rickety 8 month old together and with the slippery tub it was a real nightmare. Now my little guy can crawl in as much as he wants and pull himself up from all sides of the tub with almost no effort. Previous reviewers were right - this rug smells awful! We had it for about six weeks and for the first month it was just unbearable. I aired it outside, I cleaned it with the method, I wiped it, I soaked it. the smell of rubber and chemicals just won't go away.
