Purchased for the top of the dresser. I wanted something secure since we didn't install any additional hardware on the dresser. I was skeptical after seeing previous reviews, but the ability to mount it on the back of a dresser and the non-slip pads (not to mention the seat belt) were necessary safety measures. I'm so glad I went with this! The pad was ordered and arrived 3 months before delivery. It had a very slight "new" smell. I expected it to be much worse based on the negative reviews. It
