Excellent quality and fast charger for BMW i3

This is perfect for my BMW i3. I use it every day at work with a 30 foot "RV" extension cord and it charges from 15% to 100% in just over 6 hours. WAAAAA faster than the stock forks the car came with. I've been using it for several months and haven't had any problems.

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Everything is ok

Charging connector destroyed

The plug on this charger is obviously not designed for the current it delivers. It melted while charging my van and destroyed the van's charging port. It's also useless now, so the money saved by buying a proprietary charger is completely wasted. So now I can buy a good charger and pay for the van repairs. Spend the extra money on a branded charger.

Pros
  • Simple design
Cons
  • Difficult to see

We've had the cable for a few weeks now and it has worked fine for a while. A few weeks ago it got hot and burned the plug and socket. At first I suspected the outlet but our electrician came to inspect and replace it but they said nothing was loose in the outlet. I have sent several emails and made several calls to MUSTART but no one answers or calls back.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Clarity

So far the product works great.

I bought this to charge a 2018 Honda Clarity PHEV. Installation was easy and I was able to do it myself. Before ordering this charger, I had an electrician install a 240V, 50A (NEMA 14-50) plug. I bought this particular model so the plug would be compatible with the installed NEMA 14-50 outlet and have enough cord length to reach the car. The charging port is a bit tight when pulled out, I'm used to that. The LED display is simple and has important data such as temperature, charge indicator…

Works as expected, if not faster!

MUSTART EVSE Level 2 works exactly as you would expect from charging an electric vehicle or PHEV vehicle. I used this with my 2018 Chrysler Pacific PHEV and it charged from 3% to 100% in under 2 hours which was amazing! A small display on the device shows you the current temperature of the device, how long it has been charging, how much has been charged, the current amperage and the status of the device itself as indicated by the indicator lights. Everything is easy to understand. So far I am…

A great portable car charger - even at home!

Using this level 2 charger on my new (used) 2015 Nissan Leaf. It perfectly supports Leaf's "regular" 6.6kW charging. I could have opted for a permanently mounted charger, but I wanted to be able to take it with me on the go. Driving the car home from the dealer (116 miles away) I stopped halfway at an RV stop and they had NEMA 14-50P plugs that worked great to give me a full charge in 2.5 hours . Normally with this town car I just plug the MUSTART charging cable into my 50 amp 14-50P outlet in…

Compact, Easy to Use, Affordable

MUSTART Level 2 Portable EV Charger (25ft 7.68kW Cable), Plug-in EV Charger works as described. Received it with my Prime account within 2 days of ordering and came nicely packaged in its own round storage pouch. As you can see in the picture, I already prepped my garage with a 50-14 220A plug (I hired an electrician for $800. Well worth it as I also have a 220A with the rig -welder can connect) . The 25ft cord extension is just long enough to reach 2 cars in the garage or on the street if…

  • Beautifully Packaged

GREAT 32A charger at an even better price!

I ordered the MUSTART Level 2 charger last week and it arrived in two days. It was well packaged and protected by the bubble wrapped charger and then placed in a very strong box. In addition to the charger, I received a round pouch to carry the charger and a wall hook to hold the cord when not included. use. The instructions were short and simple. I mean how difficult is it to plug it into an outlet and into your car? It worked as expected and I can't ask for more. So far the charger is working

  • Easy to use

Great EVSE for the Chevy Bolt!

I bought this for my 2018 Chevy Bolt EV. I've used it for several thousand miles now and drive 150 miles a day, so having a good, reliable EVSE was very important to me. I admittedly bought this because it was the cheapest I could find, the 32A. As advertised it's not a smart charger and it doesn't have WiFi or a peak charge timer but my Bolt can control everything so it's not needed. The only thing I complain about is the charging plug, which is very tight in the socket. my bolt. Others have…
