I bought this to help with my chocolate labrador's chapped paws. It worked great and was cheaper than some of the other products I've seen.

An indispensable tool this winter when the roads are too salty and the sidewalks are covered with too much snow! Glad to have this on hand to protect sensitive paws - everything has changed.

My dog wants to lick this off his paws when I put it on. It's a bit grainy but seems to moisturize well. Update: 5/1/2015: The consistency is grainier and leaves a mess on the floor when I try to rub it into my dog's paw pads. Will not be redeemed. :(

Received as a gift a while ago. Works well to soften the paw pad. I don't know how to rate whether it protects against salt, but I can say that my Cleveland dog's paws stay healthy all winter long. This product gets dirty and may stain fabrics. However, I've found that if I just place the booties on my dog's paws while they soak (for 20 minutes) I'm done.

After that terrible winter my golden retriever needed help to keep his paws from getting icy - so I have this lovely 'stick' design. Unfortunately, this material didn't hold up in conditions below 20 degrees. Scoops of ice came back after 30 minutes max, once it only took 10 minutes! I ended up having to get boots for him. I will say this stuff does a great job of keeping the paw from drying out from the salt.

We usually buy Musher's Secret, but eventually it stopped working. Maybe our jar just dried up, or maybe it just didn't work for our dog. It was featured at one of our local pet stores and I grabbed it as the material looked quite pliable compared to the stiffer Musher's Secret. This stuff is amazing - it's way softer and "squispier" than Musher's Secret. This helps to penetrate deep into the paw pads and drench the fur around that area.
