Great latch was a bit short on the latch but the point is it was a 22.1" hole drilled to 2 1/8". and it worked, but not as described

The pin blocking the 360 degree rotation of the handle fell out immediately after installation. The latch works for my purposes so it's not a problem for me. Durable closure.

Quality product at a great price. I have 3 boats in rebuild and they all work perfectly. If you have a flat substrate you will need some space to catch. Otherwise a great purchase.

Like most reviews on this company and product, it is not well made. The pins holding it together were loose in the box and it didn't even make it through the shipping process. But I expected it, so I'll change the drifts and hope for the best.

I used this item to replace a broken attic door handle. The previous handle consisted of a plastic I-beam and a flimsy latch lever that sometimes failed and opened the door. Just had to enlarge the previous mounting hole and rearrange the strike plate and now the door should stay in place forever.

warning - bought scrap on 04/18 and broke on 08/19, so lasted 1.5 years, but during this time only opened the clasp maybe 20 times . The machined pin that secures the top latch to the bottom latch has fallen out. Once the pin has fallen out, the trap cannot be used and must be replaced. recommend Go to a product with better workmanship.

Those things are quite scrap. The spring is too weak to keep the latch from rattling and after 10 uses all the pins fell out which prompted me to go to the hardware store and buy stronger springs and real pins. I thought they would be of higher quality for such a price but unfortunately they are not. They are beautiful anyway, hence 2 stars for that.

Good fastener, easy to install, looks good, holds up well! I really like these latches, but there's a problem with all three I've bought: the roll pins used to stop the knobs from moving won't stay in the hole drilled in their shank. This allows the handle to rotate 360 degrees instead of stopping after a quarter turn. It doesn't really matter to me, but if it's part of the design it should work properly. Fix that problem and these bars will be great!
