This is one of the few products I reviewed: it's not worth the money. I have light blonde facial hair and wanted to fix a few spots where it was longer than I wanted, but I don't have the medical conditions that cause some of the issues other reviewers have mentioned. My peach fuzz is starting to look a little fluffy so I decided to give it a try. Since I have very sensitive skin, I was careful with spot tests. I found that 3 minutes exposure was quite enough and my skin was slightly pink in places about half an hour after application. (I mean, it melts the hair, so I was expecting at least a little irritation.) Exfoliation is an added benefit! My skin is smooth and soft and I can get through the summer months without feeling like Santa in the sun!

So I bought this cream and was afraid to use it based on the reviews about this cream. I just applied it to my thick hair on and under my chin. I left it on for 4 minutes first, it didn't work so I reapplied for 10 minutes, my thick chin hairs came out so easily. In the end I wasn't disappointed. I had no burns or red spots. . Thank God. I bought this product for my daughter (30+ years old) and she followed the instructions exactly. After 7 minutes I felt a burning sensation and removed the cream. (Four to ten minutes is recommended.) Her face was bright red and she was in a lot of pain after removing the cream. She used the by-product and it got worse. After two days of using aloe, the skin calmed down. It took two extra days to look better. terrible pain; and most of the hair stays on her chin. Very disappointed!

I don't know why people worry about the pain and expense of waxing and threading. This stuff works great. I use it on my upper lip and (carefully) under my browbones where I have fluffy white "hairs". Surprisingly, something that can chemically dissolve hair doesn't irritate my sensitive skin at all. There is a soothing balm in the box after use, but I never needed it. Unlike a similar product, the smell is not unpleasant.
