Accurate with optional wired remote sensor, good range, moderately fast

Not the fastest thermometer, but well designed and accurate, with a range of -55° to 575°F and an optional wired remote sensor , as well as wrinkles. Functions are clearly marked. It takes about 5 seconds to get a reading.

Nice thermometer with external sensor.

Pros: 1. Love the fact that it has a separate probe that can be used for oven storage and food control - no more overcooked pork loin. Bottle opener on the handle.3. Temperatures appear to be accurate.4. Built-in buzzer for different protiens.5. Target temperatures for meat at the handle.6. On / off switch. Cons: 1. The plastic material seems a little cheaper than other pen thermometers I have, but the external probe makes up for it.

Two ways to check meat quality

This is the digital thermometer I think we'll be using the most. We tested several side by side and this one works exactly as advertised. You have the choice of using it directly on the problem, or using an external probe on a wire that can reach the meat on the grill as long as the thermometer is on the nearby surface. Light, precise: meat

Bought mainly for baking bread, but useful for other purposes. We already had a small instant read thermometer, but it wasn't as accurate as this one. Part of its customization is its calibration. It has a digital display and can be switched from Fahrenheit to Celsius with the push of a button. Doesn't work well, I don't like the design

To be honest I'm a bit confused. Compared to other similar probe thermometers, it's just hard to figure out exactly how it works. For example, there's an on/off button, but it doesn't seem to actually turn it off. It has an auto alarm that beeps when you reach a certain temperature - the maximum for this is only 300, although a sensor is rated for higher temperatures.
