🚪 National Hardware N262-196 V1320 White Lever Latch for 1-3/4" Doors Review

My arthritic old hands don't like push button door latches or other small latches. I wanted real handles on both sides of the door. This unit fits the bill and was pretty easy to install. Note that I reinstalled the inner spring bar because my door frame is quite narrow. This setup was on a door with a 7/8 inch external grille. Since this is a salty area, I sprayed all internal parts with LPS #3 preservative prior to installation. We love this unit.

Great Door Latch. Mounted on a home built 1 1/2" thick mahogany door with perspex giving access to the greenhouse canopy. Has worked for three years and continues to work well with no maintenance or adjustment. Three years later it looks like a new multi-year service. Works very well on wooden doors.Just drill holes and install the hardware.Very soon I will be buying a second one to install on a similar door.Excellent quality and very easy to install.

It goes perfectly with my perennial aluminum frame screen door. It works fine and I haven't even put a new striker on the door frame yet. My old handle had a doorknob on the outside and a lever on the inside. It's great to have leverage on either side, especially when my hands are busy getting in or out. It's only been installed for about a month and is working very well so far. It seems to be of pretty good quality, looks nice and I hope it will last as long as my old cheap aluminum pen.

I had a hard time finding a latch that would fit the width of our single screen liftgate so was glad to find this product. However, the one I bought on September 04, 2017 failed within seven months. The inside handle has broken off. I bought a second one on April 2nd, 2018 thinking the first mistake must have been an unfortunate quality control issue with that bar. This kit is of fairly high quality for the price. The casting is made with high quality - no roughness, smooth lines and flawless finish. * Different latches and latches can be customized by varying the thickness of the latch backing, which is made of durable plastic (similar to nylon). If the bar-to-bar spacing is too large, simply use a different thickness of backing. I had to stack two of these to get the perfect spacing. The second adjustment to the game that the trap has is through oblique
