These doorstops are definitely an improvement over my old springy ones and they are very strong. However, please note that this is not brushed nickel and may not match brushed nickel items perfectly. They're sleeker and shinier, with finishes too close to stainless steel or chrome to match other fixtures in my bathrooms.

We have brass/gold hardware in our home that really makes the home look older. I am slowly upgrading all hardware to stainless steel/nickel. They were affordable and very easy to install, just unscrew the old ones and install the new ones. This is for our vacation rental and it's little things that often come together to keep the house in good condition so I'm glad to have this mini facelift for the house.

The door from our garage to the laundry room has not been closed in over a year since someone stepped on the door in the house and broke it. After someone else dented the wall by hitting it with a doorknob, I made replacing the old one a priority! Simply screwed into the baseboard and stays in place! Looks nice. Stops the door before the doorknob hits the wall, which was my main requirement! Very happy with this product.
