When I received it I opened the box and found that this leather strap had been folded three times. The notion that it would work as intended was wrong. I was able to stretch it and with some bandage it started to lay flat. It's not the most expensive leather, but it helps keep microscopic burrs to a minimum. In general, I was satisfied with the work!

I didn't like the packaging of the belt, I didn't like that it was rolled up which makes the surface uneven. It took a lot of time to sort it out. Otherwise the strap is fine, the leather is fine, the clip is fine.

Amazing. I used water stones, 220 grit, up to 1200 grit, then 6000 grit, almost shaved with a katana and I shaved less than a minute and it already had a mirror edge, I ran my finger horizontally across the blade and I felt a HUGE DIFFERENCE. highly recommended.

The skin is very thick and tough. Good because it is flat and easy to contract. Bad because it was delivered folded and has a couple of high/low seats. Overall it seems to work pretty darn well.

If you're a razor you should probably invest in really good slings right away, but it seems to work until you can afford better slings and at least you can use it to get your X-pattern , and at this price you don't have to worry about notches as much.
