Compared to what I received from another seller, this seemed too soft for a macrame project I had. They tend to lose thread during my macrame project due to their softness and thread strength. I managed to make a flower hanger out of it, although I will use another brand that has stronger threads. If you are looking for a very soft macrame rope, this is it. I wanted a fairly thick cotton string because the friction of the cotton was preventing the strings from vibrating. I chose 3mm cotton. This is a #60 gauge. I used some of this cord and found a definite improvement over nylon. Then I noticed that it doesn't look like 3mm. With a caliper I measured it to just under 2mm, same as the nylon cord. I originally bought a different brand synthetic accord to do a macrame project but didn't like the look or the quality so went I went back to the drawing board to find a natural chord and stumbled across this guy.
