Kota Japanese Marble Mortar and Pestle Grinder for Spices, Seasonings, Pastes, Pestos, and Guacamole Review

I received a white mortar and black pestle that don't match in color. I understand that with natural stone there will be slight variations, but it looked completely mismatched. I am back.

Perfect size for crushing a few cloves of garlic to make a paste. It would also be great for crushing pills. Fabulous. Excellent quality. It will look great on the counter. I had a large one that was too big and went into storage. This size was perfect for me.

Very strong. I love it. I've used it for ginger, garlic, crushed sugar, chocolate chips. The only drawback is the size. It's not very big if you're looking for a large mortar. It's good for garlic and spices and maybe avocados, but not for 2 avocados. I love it. Some comments said it could break easily but I didn't notice anything and it's been 2 months already :)

I am happy with this purchase. The color scheme of each piece gave it a unique feel. Upon first receiving the kit I would suggest cleaning the mortar and pestle with a damp cloth before use as there is dust left over from the manufacturer. This made it easy to grind up the almonds I used to make the Pety Pernauntes. piece and ignore the uniqueness of the details, then this is a must-have addition to your kitchen!

The Kota Japan Mortar and Pestle is exactly what I wanted. This is a beautiful marble with a rougher interior surface for excellent polishing. I don't grind spices much, but when I do I need something that works. I had a tiny ceramic mortar and pestle that didn't even come close to working.
