Very happy with these dividers. They are light enough to be held in one hand. They were a little stiff, but I sprayed the pivot with silicone spray a few times (WD40 would work too) and opened and closed the baffles a few times. This seemed to loosen them up so they open and close easily but are still tight enough to hold size. Nice brass finish and the tips have the right sharpness.

Nice dividers but disappointing. They are very tight, which makes opening and closing difficult. I soaked them in baking soda and fat and opened and closed them to make them run smoother. Not very happy so far. There is a double stud nut that can relieve the pressure, but I don't have access to such a tool and can't find a way to fabricate something to replace it.

Fantastic, I've been using this pair for three years now. I could buy extra weights online and I was able to sharpen the brass point very easily on any rough surface (I use them on construction, they take a lot of pressure). For the person who complains about their fragility, they are solid brass. If you want a stronger tool, consider buying steel tools that have an adjustment screw that sticks out far from the side.
