I have had many living plants of this species, and none of them were quite so complete. I could have taken wire cutters and thinned it out a bit but didn't want to mess with it so I returned it. This is the second plant I have purchased from Nearly Natural and received the third on the way. This one is just as beautiful as the first one and doesn't require rearranging the sheets. The "golden" color, despite its name, is not gold at all, but a combination of dark, medium and light green leaves arranged in a dark brown hexagonal pot. I ordered this plant and forgot I had already ordered it from another seller. I was very surprised when they both arrived a day apart and this one looked like a bonsai compared to the other. This one was much fuller and had more foliage than other Golden Deffenbachias, although they appeared to be from the same maker (same pot, same color). We're going to be creating a tropical effect on our covered backyard patio and this is enough, I'm tempted to order a few more to use around the house…

This plant deserves about 3 stars and the packaging less than 1. Mine arrived somehow intact but I understand why so many reviewers complained about it. Most items of this type arrive in some sort of "box" container, which prevents the item from moving inside a large box. It is very embarrassing that something that could be considered somewhat fragile arrived in this condition. This plant looks exactly like the picture. This is good value for money. I agree with others that the packaging of this plant would have gotten a star. It's boxed only, no foil, no ties, just no attachment so I'm glad mine arrived in perfect condition.
