📄 Neenah Paper 4456 Classic Crest Cardstock, 110lb, 8.5"x11", 125 Sheets Review

While I love the product and the value of buying a whole pack of Neenah cards I was disappointed with the delivery. The outer packaging was completely torn and the small "airbag" that was in the box didn't protect it. Several pieces of cardboard were "big-eared" and would be used as scrap instead of their intended use in making cards.

Many card makers I follow use this for card bases so I finally broke down and ended up spending a lot of money on a pack. The packaging was opened in the box, many corners are dented. Failed to mix smoothly with distress or dye inks. Paper is not suitable for smearing watercolors or even paints. I think it's good for Copics, but I don't have any. Won't buy this again. Very disappointed.

The last three packs of Neenah 110 lb Solar White Card Stock that I bought were extremely poor quality. At least 75% of a 250-sheet ream contains black dots of varying sizes. This is confusing as it is a bright white paper. So how does the black ink fuse with the leaves? Example: To get 100 blank A2 cards, I looked through 125 sheets to find 50 usable sheets. Last year, Nina's quality control went wrong. I will look into another company which unfortunately is not available through Revain.

The best box in the world. This is the best cardboard for copy coloring. It is very easy to shuffle copies on this board. It's nice and heavy and is great for cards and die-cuts. They also have it in 80 pounds, I get them both in packs. can't say enough good things about it. I wish it wasn't that expensive but it's worth it. oh one thing, DO NOT get the Neenah Index! It works for a lot of things, but Copic markers don't mix on it. (ask me how i know lol)

Opinions differ as to whether this card is printable; I gave it a chance and it didn't even come out of the tray. The paper is very pleasant to the touch, thick and textured and would probably do well for fully handcrafted postcards, but for direct print media this is probably not the type of cardstock you're looking for.
