Used for slow motion functions on Nikon D800. The layout and menu navigation takes a little getting used to, and the settings keep resetting because you have to remove the batteries to turn the device off, which resets everything. If the device had a power button and some sort of internal means of saving last used settings, that would be a five star rating. But otherwise it has held up and works really well for me. This is my first negative review I have ever left and the worst product I have ever received. From the moment I opened the package I knew it was a waste of $16.99. The trigger doesn't stay locked, that's the first thing I noticed. Literally less than 4 seconds out of the box, the shutter button didn't stay in the locked state for more than half a second. I bought this timer to replace the battery cover on my Nikon MC-36 which I lost in the field. I bought an MC-36 for $150 years ago and it still sells for the same price. This block here is 1/10 the cost and does the same thing but better. (and yes, the battery cover fits the MC36!).
