Does what it's supposed to do

Well suited for side lighting of table displays for product photography when using small light sources. I also use them to add a flash of light or a circular gradient to an interview background. They simply hide the light behind the topic of conversation and direct it to the background. It's a Neewer, so it's cheap, but it doesn't seem like a huge burden.

Ideal for floodlighting

Affordable, compact and predictable build quality from Neewer (not the best, but not the worst either). Relatively inconspicuous leg spacing so it doesn't take up too much valuable desk space (I keep one of these next to my monitors all the time). To be honest I would have preferred to buy 1 separately but I'm sure I'll end up using both.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons

Cute little coasters!

I love these shelves! They are very short which is great for my needs. I photograph pets and often need to light kittens and puppies that are small/small. I've used these stands with a Neewer 480 LED dimmable bulb and it's pretty sturdy on its own. I'm sure if the animal had hit him he would have fallen. I'll try to make it safer by using sandbags or something like that. But good quality!

  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

The light stands are very well designed and built to be used

We use them for outdoor shooting and they are strong enough to get the job done. Small enough to toss in your tote bag with other coasters and not even know they're there, eliminating the need for extra bags or boxes for travel. They're durable, well designed, and used as light stands that actually hold an umbrella or softbox and won't fall off. I recommend them.

Strong enough for a tripod of this size

In the lowest position it's about 12 inches and at this height it's very strong. I wouldn't put anything heavy on it if it's in a higher position, but a little light will do. I use it to hold my Alien Bee as a backlight or as a desktop video light stand. Everything seems to be working fine so far, but I'm not entirely sure about the plastic thumbscrews, but they can easily be replaced if they break. Obviously, one of the limitations is that the small legs don't offer the wide support that a…

Poor quality but does the job

These two light stands are definitely not high quality but for the price I paid they are ok. One problem is that the clamps are plastic with screw tensioners. If you tighten the top clamp just enough to hold the stem up, you will have to flex the plastic a bit at the end. If the person over-tightens and loosens this clamp, it doesn't look like it will last long. I have a similar problem with the bottom clamp on the legs. If you install these racks and rarely adjust them, they'll probably hold…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Handy table lamp stands

I can't give this five stars because: 1. Plastic parts can easily break by someone in a hurry or who doesn't care as much about their gear as by an amateur who does a lot has time and no schedule for photo sessions. 2. The nozzle cannot be removed.3. The sleeve has only one threaded end. Any good lighting stand will have a detachable tube that can be flipped over to reveal the 1/4" and 3/8" 4 threaded ends. Rivets were used where nuts and bolts would fit. They have short legs as they are small…
