Nelson 855784 1001 Gender Neutral Plumb Fitting Review

Perfect fit. The internal thread is a PIPE and the external thread is a garden hose. I gave four stars instead of five because some of the external threads are too short. I had to use two hose washers to seal it. Otherwise it fits perfectly. If the male thread portion of the hose was about 1/4 inch longer it would easily earn five stars.

Not male to male garden hose adapter as stated in an answer to a question. The basic description is correct but could be clearer. I think it should read "3/4" male GHT (garden hose thread) to 3/4" female NPT (pipe thread). The basic description says it's a universal male/female thread like a hose 3/4 and a tube are threaded fittings Bottom Line: The inner end is NPT and will NOT connect to outer garden hose fittings or hose barbs.

I received the hose fitting I ordered a day ago, delivery is fast. It has male and female connectors on both sides which I tried to use to connect two water hoses. The male fitting is fine but the female fitting leaks water as shown in the attached video. I've tried several water hoses and had the same problem with a leak on the female side.
