Squeaky floor no longer needed

I used these to fill in the space between the support beams and the old tongue and groove floor board. That creaking and groaning has been around for a long time. My partner rocked them back and forth and I used these spacers to try to cut in where they came from. 80% of squeaks eliminated in 15 minutes. It looks like a miracle. Maybe you can get a cheaper kit for this job. But they worked absolutely fine and if I had known that I would have bought them a long time ago.

Pros
  • Package length is 8.399999991432 inches
Cons
  • Damaged

Much better than standard construction panels

I prefer these to your standard cedar panels. They are very dimensionally stable and do not shrink when screwed on. I use them to install cabinets and jambs/windows. They don't always snap into the desired part if you simply bend them after installation, so it's a good idea to pre-cut the joint before snapping it in place. It takes more effort and attention to trim a joint when it's not exactly where you want it. They will also quickly dull utility knife blades if you pre-cut.

  • Product packaging width is 5.799999994084 inches

Get the job done for a good price.

First, I am not a contractor or professional builder. Just a DIY homeowner. I had to build a section of fence on top of a log wall and as my house is on a hill it has moved a bit over the years, not 100% level. I used them and a level to achieve this. what i like about them They appear to be made out of non-biodegradable material and have spots where you can easily resize them to the size you want. I don't know if they're inexpensive for a large job, but I used maybe 3 on mine and I have dozens

Pros
  • Product Package Weight 1.60055602212 pounds
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
