I would give the device 5 stars but there is a setup issue in the software and poor tech support. Update: 1 day after I wrote this Netgear sent me a firmware fix which fixed the problems and everything is working fine now. Although I didn't like being blown away like that the first time, I'm glad they fixed it. I just got a WPN824NA (refurbished) and replaced my old Netgear WGR614 which has worked great for years. The old router just didn't cover a space for about 50 feet with three walls in between. 824EXT does its job. Now I have two or three bars in this room.
