New Balance 4040V5 Running Black Review

We loved the shoes and they may have been comfortable but we have TWO LEFT SHOES. Probably given 5 stars but the shoes had to be returned.

I just coached my son's team at the USSSA Championships last weekend and wore these shoes for the first time! :) Shoes came in just 2-3 days, very comfortable. It was a great find for my height 15ft. The shoes feel good and feel solid.

I have had another pair of NB turfs for almost 4 years and they have been great. I needed something newer and hopefully more comfortable than my worn pair. YOU ARE NOT! The outsole/cushioning sucks on them. They are good as a mudguard as I use them for sneakers but for the price they are too stiff and after a day of wearing them my feet hurt so bad I can go back to my old ones. I have worn them about 8-10 times hoping they will "break" but they are too tight.

Coaching at its finest. My husband has been wearing them for a few months now. Very light, durable and excellent value for money. They are wider than Nike which is great for my husband. He wears them to all baseball practices.

Normally New Balance shoes are comfortable for me so I thought turf would be just as comfortable but no. Worst lawns I have ever had, after three softball games my heels and big toe hurt and I had to repeatedly get my feet wet after wearing these shoes.

One of the few turf shoes that comes in a smaller men's size for larger kids/teens. We were happy to find her. I recommend trying them on, they were a little tight.

They are very fashionable but are half a size smaller. I was expecting the exact size from previous purchases of the same brand but had to increase the size out of respect for the materials.

The shoes sat very high on my foot which made it difficult to get on and off and uncomfortable to wear. They were also very narrow. Never had a problem with shoes that were too tight, but that's about it. I sent the product back and they took the money to return it. All round bad experience.

Bought these for my 11 year old. He wears 8 in regular sneakers. Bought in width 8.5 fits perfectly. Good grip on turf and grass. I'm not sure about dirt.

In West Texas, the turf is never loose enough to require full baseball spikes. We live in an arid climate on clay soil. This is the perfect solution. There's just enough traction to get you going quickly without riding on spiked hard surfaces. The sock was strong enough to last a full season of fishing with no complaints from my son.

My new favorite softball shoe. I liked them so much I bought a second pair in case they decide to discontinue them. Since I'm playing in the outfield, I'm not worried about slipping into them. They work great on mud running down the bases.

These things are very light and comfortable. I usually wear a 10.5 but ordered an 11 as the reviews are a little smaller. 11 was perfect.

Hard-soled shoes, don't stretch, don't breathe, feet sweat even when it's cold. Not recommended. I have other New Balance pairs that I would recommend but not these.

These are the best lawn shoes I have found, they are perfect for wide feet and they are very comfortable, I will be ordering more in different colours.

My son used them for his first indoor baseball practice and he said they were perfect. He said they hold the turf well and are very comfortable.

The sole comes off the shoes after a few uses. Have bought many pairs of NB lawn shoes in the past with no problems. The shoe's design may not be versatile or stylish enough for everyday wear outside of baseball activities!

My son has always preferred New Balance baseball shoes and has several pairs of New Balance indoor training shoes. He loves to. He would wear them more often, but he wants to save the soles for his training. I was surprised he wanted purple and black but they look very sharp. He thinks they look like the Dark Knight.
