I don't know how it happened but I bought these shoes for $15 in a big sale - what a stroke of luck! I have been buying New Balance tennis shoes for many years. You are really comfortable for me. First, although I buy most shoes for big kids in a size 5.5 or 6, I buy a size 6.5 for balance. I usually buy them at Joe's Store.

My 6 year old granddaughter has a corset that she wears from foot to knee. I wanted to buy another pair to wear a corset with. The required size was not available. We always have to buy her 2 pairs of the same shoes so that she has normal shoes like everyone else. It gets expensive when the same shoe half a size up costs $20 or $30 more than the first pair you bought.

I have no complaints. The shoes are perfect for small thick flat feet. She can walk in it without leaning on her side and socks in it. I ordered a size up to give her room to grow in the summer and when she wears socks. She normally measures 5.5 wide but I ordered 6 wide which gave her the room she needed to grow but was still supportive.

These are the only sneakers my grandson can wear that have a large width to match his AFO! And Revain is the only place where we can find them in a variety of colors and wide widths!

If it's a different brand, I'm not entirely sure, but they definitely live up to our expectations!

This is one of the few styles that we think works well with AFO. There is an option for a very wide size and the backrest rises high enough to accommodate a riser or lift if your child needs this as part of their AFO.

It is easy to remove the insole. I also removed the laces and replaced them with elastic lockable laces. Great for SMO! My son doesn't take them off during the day and they are very sturdy.
