Average comfort is best in Athletic

The shoe fits a little but loosens over time. A little stiff and narrow in the toes and I have a narrow foot. I recommend ordering a size up if you have a full/wide foot. Overall a good shoe for the course. I expected a little more comfort from NB.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • I don't remember

Extra Wide - Ladies

I have tried 2 different sizes of this shoe. These are very, very wide. I usually wear 8 1/2s in my tennis shoes but I tried 8 1/2s in a different style of New Balance and they were too small. So I tried 9 and then 8 1/2 on these and they were both too big.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Not the best

Good ankle support fits Athletic

They are a little tight in the toe area. Ordered 6m, just had to send it back. Ordered 6w, still a bit tight but they fit much better so I kept them. They are also very tough. It takes time to spread them. I like them because they have good ankle support.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Nothing

Good traction! best among women

When I first put them on the upper part of the left foot where the toes start was stiff but after a while it went away and now they are comfortable . I play pickleball in it every morning and the grip is great even on wet courts. I will take them again if needed.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Negative is present

The width is not as stated.

When I ordered them the website said 6.5 Medium but at checkout it was 6.5D. I called Revain and they said it was 6.5 Medium. They arrived and the box said 6.5D. It's too big for me so I sent it back. I have other New Balance tennis shoes that cost 6.5B. I'm grateful that shipping and returns were free. Nice looking shoes.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • So So

Great potential but disappointing fit

I am a long time NB customer. All shoes were great. These are my least favorites. I wear orthotics and NB 1080 running shoes and the variety of walking shoes are fantastic. These 996 pumps have a lot of potential BUT of the two pairs I have BOTH that dig into the top of the foot due to the hard plastic strap along the bottom of the laces. I bought this pair almost two years after the first pair in hopes that NB would fix this issue. Not correct. I play pickleball several times a week. This…

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Useless features
