Our dish hopper has a program bug. When we access YouTube via Hopper, the TOSLINK optical audio is disabled, but the onboard HDMI audio still works. Reported to Dish Engineering, but who knows if they'll ever fix it. Meanwhile, this little HDMI audio de-embedder solved the problem.
