Well I don't know exactly what you mean by "transparency" but I have 5 stars. Our electrician was a bit picky about the boxes not being assembled, wasn't he? But he had no problem installing them. We love the look and have fitted Edison bulbs with antique (slightly yellowed) glass and the lighting they give off is great. I like the way they look.
