NEXiLUX Wireless Controller Gamepad Nintendo Review

Looks like it has an SNES controller. That helped me with my choice. But this controller for Nintendo Wii U works well and comes with a USB-C cable. Cons: The charging method is not compatible with anything on the Wii U without an adapter. Advantage: if you have a modern phone made in the last 3 years or so you can plug in this controller and charge it that way. I've had it for a while now and can't comment on the battery life, but I can say I haven't had any issues so far.

Well, I really wanted to say, but I'd check out the original Wii U controller if you're reading this! I really, VERY badly, wanted this controller to work perfectly. I I been using it for a week now and it works great when plugged in. My problem is that it is a hassle to plug in the controller, looks and looks fab but it drains after you walk away for 10 minutes and it disconnects and it ONLY reconnects when you come back to play you have to fiddle with it for a few minutes before it reconnects

To be honest, playing the Wii U on that horrible massive controller is impossible. It's great because it looks like the SNES and it's MUCH easier to use. For the price you definitely can't beat it. Cross is too sensitive. Holding left or right and pressing up too hard will register as if you were pressing, even if you're not pressing "up" on the directional pad. Works great with RetroPie and the Emulationstation on my Raspberry Pi 3. I was able to sync it via bluetooth with no problem and all the buttons show up in the Emulationstation. I don't have a Wii U so I can't comment on how it works as intended. I bought this to have a professional controller for each of my Wii Us (one North American, one Japanese). The controller itself looks and feels cheap compared to the official Pro Controller, but it pairs perfectly with my console. I tested it in Super Mario World, a game that relies on precise platforming, and in MOTHER 3, which uses a rhythm-based combo system that requires precise timing.
