Super Soft Body Repair Tools

They're great for adding shine to a variety of things. They fit right into the drill bit, or I've used them in my husband's drill press to give old wooden pipes the wood shine back.

Pros
  • Sleek Design
Cons
  • Insecure

Polishing pad does its job

I like these polishing pads. They are very soft and fragile. I've polished multiple pieces with just one and it still looks like new.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • There are cons

A cotton swab on my Dremel would probably work better

They are fuzzy, like loose threads on a torn sweater, and fly apart with use. I think using a cotton swab on my dremel holds up better than that.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Lint everywhere for tools and equipment

I bought this item to polish my car models. It does its job well but scatters fluff everywhere, even at the slowest speeds. I'll keep trying to find the "right way" to use these buffing pads, but adding more dust and lint to my painting environment is useless.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Use with white toothpaste or liquid paste for final polishing.

They are so soft that they do not pick up connections like Fabulustre and Zec. Therefore, use a paste or liquid. Fibers will fly everywhere for the first few minutes, so put on your N95 and work in an easy-to-clean area. I used it to finish buffing the body of a vintage fountain pen by rubbing it with white Crest toothpaste. The wheel picks it up right away and does a great job of picking out highlights. I'm happy with that.

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • For old

Pretty good but soft

I use these on plastic Kydex holsters and magazine holders to get into places I can't properly reach with full size 10" buffs. So far I am just starting out and have reworked 2 magazine holders that I made with a recessed top where the inner sections are difficult to reach. It helped, but I don't think they will be strong enough for production use. I'll be trying other types that are harder to feel soon to see if they work and are more durable. I also tried the Meguires liquid headlight polish…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions
