Worked on my Civic

Installed new on my 2005 Civic Coupe VP after receiving a replacement recommendation from a Honda dealer (Mel Rapton Honda of Sacramento) at 185,000 miles. They wanted to charge me $25.63 for each spark plug plus labor. Well I was much happier with that price and installed them myself. No anti-seize lubricant required. The person who owned my car before me installed different spark plugs and I was happy to return the originals (pictured is the box one of the spark plugs came in).

I asked the obvious question "how much?" and they said $120. I was shocked! I couldn't understand how/why less than 15 minutes work should be so expensive. They said it was because they only used factory plugs, which were expensive. I checked and confirmed that they would just hollow me out a little bit during labour. I said no thanks, bought
