Description of Niagara Cutter N59913 Finishing Non Center
Miniature end mills create the intricate cuts needed for precision industries. Four flutes produce a better finish than fewer flutes. Stub length increases the strength of the tool, making it less likely to break in the workpiece. Carbide can run at higher speeds than high-speed or cobalt steel, offering increased wear resistance and high cutting temperatures. Uncoated (bright) tools have no additional surface treatment or coating to retain miniature end mill’s tight tolerances.
Through trial and error, i found that this product was not worth the investment .The finish it provided was subpar and left rough edges, making it necessary to use additional tools to smooth them out. The only positive aspect was that it fit properly on my milling machine. Overall, I do not recommend this accessory..
Pros
Produces smooth finishes on a variety of materials.
Cons
May require frequent sharpening due to the single flute design.
Good sharp stain and seems to last a relatively long time. I've found that if I increase the feed to 35mm/min it breaks! At 30 mm/min everything is fine.
