This built in dimmer/timer works

I gave 5 stars because it works! Everything was as it should be and all three time settings worked without any problems. The dimmer works as intended. Only thing I wish it was a little darker than for nighttime use when it barely works. Otherwise I couldn't refuse. I would buy another one and will probably do so for my next aquarium project.

This product works with several different light sources

I love this timer/dimmer switch! When you set the timer, this thing simulates a fast sunrise and takes about 15 minutes to get to 100%! Then does the same at the end of the cycle, simulating a sunset! Also, turn off the timer to 50%, if the device is turned off and on again, it stays at that brightness! It's definitely worth the few bucks more than going to Walmart and buying a cheap timer! Definitely recommend this product

Cannot be configured as a timer! Not working now

It doesn't work like clockwork. The timer only has three presets that you can choose how long it stays on: 8, 10 or 12 hours, that's it! You can't set it to turn on or off at specific times. For example, if you want the light to turn on at 10:00 AM, you need to set the "on" time period and press the power button at exactly 10:00 AM. It will then stay on for 8, 10 or 12 hours depending on what you choose. These are the only options. If you accidentally turn it off, for example during weeklyโ€ฆ
