I needed a new shoe for walking and skipping, so I looked for shoes with cushioning. I figured the Nike Air Max would work for this. When I put them on for the first time I found them comfortable. You are definitely more comfortable with thinner socks. Tried jumping rope and thought it absorbed the impact and provided enough cushioning. The only issue I had was the laces kept coming undone. I had to tie them with a double knot. I also tried running in it. They are ok but I think I will look for
